I've been playing percussion for about 3 years . I currently play in a latin band (named Fuente Creadora) and a cuban carnival band (comparsa) that we're still setting up.

My main instruments are congas, bongos and small percussion like shakers, guiros and what you have. Also, I bought an Irish drum (bodhran) recently on
which I practise every now and then.

If anyone's interested in jamming (even if you're not a percussionist ;-)

The sheet music I've added is not in the standard musical notation.
This is mainly because I'm not familiar with it but also because I'm left handed and I hate having to translate Rs and Ls all the time. Instead I use upper and lowercase letters for strong and weak hand respectively. It's a transcription of the percussion classes I've followed so far and some of my own experiments.

It's pretty basic but fairly comprehensive for the short time that I've been playing. For most of the material I should credit my percussion teacher, Martin van Bladel
